This format is our little experiment. If we can engage people in sufficient numbers, maybe we can send strong messages to the Mayor and Council. If, however, just a few people out of the population are the only ones that participate, then the whole thing just becomes an echo chamber for the disgruntled.

People are FAST to complain, be rarely ever find the good in what others do. Niccolo Machiavelli wrote about this in his 1505 book "The Prince." For over 500 years, people have been resistant to change. I'm not convinced humans have the capacity to transgress this personality flaw. I guess we'll find out.

We are not all going to agree on things.  We may never agree on multiple items.  But we must learn that when we don't get our way, stomping our tiny feet, or beating our little chests is not going to solve the issues.  Thirty people cannot speak for the entire community.  If an idea is powerful enough, it will get traction.  People are going to need to get involved to effect the change they seek.
